Welcome to the Rhode Island Animal Welfare Coalition website.  The goal of this site is to provide pet owners, animal lovers, and the general public with a one-stop resource to animal related information. 

Because we work in the animal field, the Coalition members know what the most common questions people have as well as the problems they face.  We have created this site to try to help everyone find solutions to those problems and answers to those questions. 

We hope that this site provides you with easy access to animal related information.  This website is simply a vehicle to help you get to the information that is already out there.  We have tried to eliminate the confusion of finding that information and have also tried to point you to the information that is the most helpful and accurate.

This is not an all inclusive resource.  Please understand, there is an unlimited number of possibilities when it comes to animal related information.  We have tried to keep our site dedicated to the more common, "everyday" issues.

The creation of this website as well as the written information you may have seen around Rhode Island was funded by a grant from the Virginia B. Butler Fund of the Rhode Island Foundation.  Without the financial assistance from the Foundation, this resource would not be possible.  The designing of this website as well as the printed materials was generously provided by Hurley, Chandler, and Chaffer.
